What is a Community of Support?

A Community of Support (COS) is designed to provide an opportunity for collaboration, support and accountability around valued topics. Communities of Support can be Affinity Groups working together to support one another and a common initiative as well as topic driven Passion Initiatives. Collectively provides a platform to address complicated social issues through shared wisdom, individual growth, connection with others and accountability.

Affinity Groups

Affinity groups bring like-minded individuals together to address common interests, needs, and provide an open forum for communication and information sharing. Collectively supports Affinity Groups through providing a platform, structure and support utilizing the Collectively model to make these groups successful. Real World Practice

Peace, Love, Wraparound is an affinity group designed to support the implementation of High-Fidelity Wraparound in the state of Florida. Wraparound behavioral health providers meet quarterly to discuss statewide initiatives, progress in the field and collaborative opportunities.

Passion Inititives

Passion Initiatives are designed as an opportunity to bring diverse groups of stakeholders together to collectively solve complex challenges. Passion Initiatives utilize a structured Collectively Think Tank model which results in a product at the end of the process. Moderated facilitation of the process for informative, call to action, or listening circles creates an opportunity for dialogue in a safe space to address complexity. Real World Practice

We Can Talk Podcast is an example of bringing together diverse stakeholders to address racism in the United States. The facilitated conversation offers an example of a safe conversation around race and encourages others to being the conversation.
